Peterbilt says tariffs enacted last November helped add more than 1,000 jobs at the Denton facility. The White House is using the visit to sell a manufacturing comeback ahead of the midterms, one day after Vice President Vance toured a Brownsville shipyard.

 

After Denton, Trump is scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT midterm rally at the Choctaw Event Center in Durant, Oklahoma, inside the Dallas–Fort Worth media market. Texas Senate nominee Ken Paxton has been expected alongside the president on the Texas stop.
