Scammers are getting slicker, impersonating banks to trick victims into handing over debit cards to couriers—leading to massive losses. In one case, a Phoenix man lost nearly $24,000 after giving his card to a scammer posing as Arizona Financial Credit Union. Police arrested Tony Ray White Junior, who’s also facing charges in Tempe. Legit banks will NEVER send couriers for your card. If you get such a call, hang up and call your bank using a verified number. Protect your wallet—don’t fall for it.
