Dr. Saran Heron talks with Merchita Vassell Carridge, a Registered Professional Nurse, pastor, wife, and mother. Merchita received her BSN in Nursing from Lehman College, Master of Science in Nursing – Education from Molloy University, and Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Postsecondary and Adult Education from Capella University. Merchita has worked as a RN including a not-for-profit organization serving the Developmentally Disabled for the past 21 years. She has committed herself to pastoring a church for the past 10 years. She shares some of her challenges, sacrifices, hard work and how she found her purpose, always rise to her circumstance, and making the best of it!
