Description
This week we return to our study of the Old Testament and hone in on the two books of Samuel. We analyze the importance of the Line of David in both the Old AND New Testaments and why the Deuteronomists decided to focus on it. We also debate who was honestly a better king, Saul or David and grapple with the lack of moral principle the Jewish theological bedrock is rooted in, in comparison to the classical "liberal" moral philosophy and what this means.
