Today's guest is Dr. Paul Billings.  

Dr. Billings has held academic positions at Harvard University, U.C. San Francisco, Stanford University, and U.C. Berkeley; and served as a board-certified internist and medical geneticist at leading medical centers. His published doctoral studies at Harvard were supervised.

Dr. Paul is also the CEO of Biological Dynamics, a molecular diagnostics company committed to saving millions of lives by rapidly and affordably detecting infectious diseases and cancers at their earliest stages.

They have developed a unique platform to enable early cancer detection, giving oncologists the capability to intervene at the earliest stages of the disease, increasing a patient's chances of recovery.

Biological Dynamics has raised $75M in funding to date, including $1.5M from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and employs 60+ workers.

Dr. Paul has authored over 250 publications and books on genomic medicine and held academic appointments at leading universities, including Harvard University, UC San Francisco, Stanford University, and UC Berkeley.

Nobel Prize in Medicine winner Dr. Baruj Benacerraf supervised his published doctoral studies at Harvard.

He has spoken at many medical conferences and appeared on talk shows, including The Oprah Winfrey Show and 60 Minutes.
