In our popular Tales from the Dugout segment we found some stories of some odd umpires, a missed opportunity with a light hitting shortstop from the 60’s and some “oddities” of some players a century ago that we doubt seemed odd even at the time. Wax Pack Heroes sees us open some 2000 Topps this week where we find out about a former player who punched out Connie Mack’s great grandson and put some other’s in federal prison after being part of a mortgage fraud sting.
