29 years before Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay summited Everest, George Mallory and Andrew Irvine attempted the same. They made one last attempt but tragedy struck and they never made it back down the mountain - for many years neither of their bodies were found and when one was, it only provided more questions than answers.
