Best News in the Flour Front in Months

Episode 93 Published 4 years, 2 months ago
Description

Avian Flu adds Nevada to the list of states this week, but only 200 new cases were reported since last week.  Chicken production continues to move upward. Chicken prices are moving lower though, including breasts and wings. Cattle production was lower this week. Strip loins and chucks are showing good demand while ribeyes, tenderloins, and grounds are holding steady. Pork bellies and butts move seasonally higher, but loins continue to be a great value. Overall, grains continue lower, but hot and dry weather could slow this down. Winter wheat harvest is 63% complete and spring wheat is in the ground. No big changes in dairy, as milk production slows down.
