One of Bill Russell's closest lifelong friends was DC native Ronny Watts. Ronny played at Woodrow Wilson in Upper NW before heading to Wake Forest to play for Bones McKinney. He was drafted by the Celtics in the mid-60's and became one of Bill Russell's best friends. Ronny shared his memories of his friendship with Russell including how the two of them came together on a popular AT&T television commercial in the 1970's.
