Ep 81: Is the BLM ”Out of Bounds” on This One?

Episode 81 Published 3 years, 11 months ago
Description

The Bureau of Land Management recently issued a final decision for changing six grazing allotments in Montana from cattle to bison.  But the issue here is, "Why did the Environmental Assessment (EA) conducted in this instance fail to analyze the full range of impacts from the proposal by the American Prairie Reserve"?  Furthermore, what if this would have been a proposal put forth by ranchers like you or me? Jay Bodner, Executive Vice President for the Montana Stockgrowers Association and Kaitlynn Glover, Executive Director of the Public Lands Council for the NCBA are my guests as we discuss what took place and the potential implications of the decision in the future for ranchers across the country.
