 On this episode of fishing the DMV we talk to Michael Bartgis.  Michael Bartgis is seasoned kayak angler with a passion for inshore saltwater fishing. What started out as a way to get a little more water access turned into an addictive hobby that has led me up and down the coast and abroad chasing fish from a kayak. Along the way I have made some great friends from sites like www.snaggedline.com, put over 300,000 miles on my vehicles, caught a lot of fish, and even ran the largest kayak fishing tournament in Maryland for 7 years to raise money for local charities. I’ve been so consumed with kayak fishing over the past decade that it’s spawned other hobbies like reel repair and rod building; always on the quest for the rod with the right action and handle length for kayak fishing. I greatly enjoy taking new kayak anglers out on the water and can proudly say I taught my wife and son how to kayak fish.
