Jared Stacy, former pastor and current researcher of conspiracy theories and how they intersect with Evangelicalism, sits down with Tim to discuss his research. Jared explains his background in Southern Evangelical spaces and his eventual move from pastoral work to getting a PhD in conspiracy theories. Tim and Jared discuss the three ways a conspiracy theory is defined. They also discuss how there is overlap between Qnon conspiracy theories and Evangelical theology. Lastly, Tim and Jared discuss how to approach people who believe in conspiracy theories.
