In the final part of The Road to Recovery Gavin Ashton talks about the joy of winning on his very first ride back at Dresden. From a compound fracture of the left leg on 22 March to riding a winner on 18 June.
Although the young jockey missed out on the chance to ride in the German Derby, another year hopefully, Gavin has now ridden more winners.
The podcast also features Ross Hollinworth (Lead Physiotherapist) and Glen Reed (Rehabilitation Therapist, Strength & Conditioning Coach) from the Injured Jockeys Fund, who add a close up and personal view of Gavin’s road to recovery
