Season 1 Episode 28 Published 3 years, 10 months ago
Description

Hello and a very Happy 4th to all of us seeking to become better at this great game ! Today we have a true Champion on and off the Golf course and he is my friend Greg Puga.
Greg has been a long time caddy at Bel Air CC in L.A., California and what is so special about him ? The short is that Greg won the 2000 USGA Mid-AM Championship at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va. He had earned an invitation to all of the Majors including the 2001 Masters. Incredible right ? Considering his upbringing and entry into Golf, his story is truly a Cinderella one.
Greg's story began in L.A.  where he grew up playing all the sports. He was introduced to Golf by a relative, when Greg was in High School. He was immediately hooked. His school had no Golf team at the time.  Not discouraged by this, he went to several teachers and got a Golf Team going ! Greg got progressively better at the game so quickly that his parents set aside what little money they had and set him up with a very well known Southern California teacher at Annandale GC in Pasadena , CA named Jim Petrollia. From there, he continued to improve quickly ! I can go on and on here but I don't want to spoil this great conversation !
In this talk, Greg goes into detail about his origins, finding his way to the game, caddying, playing in the Masters and, his drive to become a great player. I'm thrilled that he shared his incredible story with us and I'm certainly greatful that he's a very bright example of what's possible when we can set an intention and combine it with great work ! Thank you Greg and have a very safe a great Holiday folks !
