Karen Kalish’s career included school teacher, consumer advocate and on-air reporter. She became a serious social entrepreneur and believes in picking allies when starting a project. “Partners and collaborators are what make it work. You can never do anything alone”, she says. In this way the 3 successful nonprofits she created, 2 of which are still running today, benefited education, race and reading.
At a Renaissance Weekend, hosted by Bill and Hillary Clinton, Karen sat on a panel that asked, “Can You be Happy As you Age?”, and shares her answers on this episode.
