The Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals are two of the largest health systems in Ohio, and they're direct competitors. But this past spring, the two health systems came together to help combat the Covid-19 epidemic and are looking to continue their partnership in the future. In this episode, Rae sits down with Cleveland Clinic President and CEO Tom Mihaljevic, MD and University Hospitals President and incoming CEO Cliff A. Megerian, MD, FACS to talk about how their partnership came to be, what their partnership will look like going forward, and how competing hospitals and health systems can find ways to collaborate to help their collective communities.
