EP124: What Losing my Insight Showed me about Feeling versus Knowing

Published 5 years, 7 months ago
Description

I had a series of massive insights when I was 16 years old. Shortly thereafter, my familiar, habitual thinking slowly came back, masking what I had seen.

This happens, but I didn’t know it at the time. I spent a good part of the next 20 years trying to chase down or recreate my former insight. When that didn’t work, I got very angry. I wished I hadn’t ever seen what I had

Today, I’m incredibly grateful for the insights I had because they showed me the difference between knowing something deep and real, and what we feel on a moment by moment basis. The difference between knowing and feeling is the basis of everything I share.
