In this episode of Disease Du Jour, we discuss the Unwanted Horse Veterinary Relief Campaign (UHVRC) with Dr. Duane Chappell. He has spent his career bettering the health of horses through his work in the field, in the classroom and in research projects.
The UHVRC was established in 2008. It is a non-profit joint effort between Merck Animal Health and the AAEP. Through the program, qualifying equine rescue and retirement facilities can receive complimentary equine vaccines for horses in their care, protecting the horses’ health and making them more adoptable.
