Today my guest is China Darrington, the ​​Director Advocacy and Public Policy for Thrive, Peer Support Recovery. She shares her story of surviving human trafficking from a very young age, how she fell into addiction what happened and what she did to achieve 18 years of abstinence. We talked about her experience with the 12 Steps, therapy, and the other tools she uses to heal her trauma. She also shares her thoughts on Buddhist practices, how she lost 80lbs, and the work she does not to help other women heal from trauma.
