Back to EpisodesEp 17: The Fear of Being Judged For Doing Something New
Description
Do you have a desire to step into something new?
Perhaps it's a new way of working, a new career path, a new business or something else 'new' that requires you to step from the familiar into the unfamiliar.
Initially we can feel excited about the prospect of doing something new, but then not long after we start to notice blocks that show up that can make it feel hard to get underway or create the consistent momentum we want.
What I find this can be often attributed to, is a deeper fear of being judged by others for doing the new thing.
This is especially true if people have known us as working in one particular area, or seen us do one thing our whole lives.
In this episode, I’m unpacking:
- What to do with the fear of being judged for doing something new
- How to process it and move beyond it
- How to not let it hold you back from stepping forward with confidence into the ideas, the path, the work that’s calling you forward.
