Lyn Barrett is an author, founder of Dissociative Writers, and facilitator of writers workshops for people with dissociative disorders. Her memoir, Crazy: Reclaiming Life from the Shadow of Traumatic Memory, is the story of her discovery of and recovery from dissociative identity disorder (DID), formerly known as multiple personal disorder (MPD). She has been interviewed by public radio stations and podcasts, and spoken at conferences and graduate classrooms around the country.
A retired teacher, school principal, and pastor, Lyn engaged in deep therapeutic work during the height of her career and now lives a happily integrated life with her husband in the high desert of New Mexico.
