SportsBeat KC: Want to bet Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks, Tigers, Wildcats? Soon you can...in Kansas

Published 3 years, 9 months ago
Description

Want to bet on Patrick Mahomes’ touchdown pass total in a game, or Kansas State-Oklahoma football, or Kansas basketball against Duke in the Champions Classic?

You won’t have to leave Kansas to do that now that sports betting was signed into law last week by Gov. Laura Kelly. Now, Kansas is one of 30 states with legal sports wagering. It will take a few weeks, perhaps months to get it up and running but soon Kansans won’t have to travel to another state to make a wager.

On today’s SportsBeat KC, beat writer Jesse Newell and Kellis Robinett discuss the ramifications of local sports wagering and share some of their favorite types of sports bets.
