           Courageous Leadership with Virginia Prodan Podcast -  invites you to hear and watch an important message from our guest -  Scott Edelman - Retired U.S. Diplomate from the Unites States Foreign Service within the U.S. Department of State .
        Mr. Edelman entered government service in 1980 as an intelligence analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency. In that capacity, he followed and analyzed political developments in East Africa (1980-83) and Eastern Europe (1986-89).
       As a political officer at the United States Embassy in Bucharest, Romania (1984-86).  I had  worked closely with Mr. Edelman and other diplomats at the American Embassy in Bucharest - during my legal fight to protect religious and human rights under the Socialism regime of dictator Nicolae Ceausescu there.
And - It is my honor to have Mr. Scott Edelman and his family as my long time friends.
      For his work in Romania and around the world - Mr. Edelman received an Exceptional Performance Award; two Superior Honor awards; a Meritorious Honor award; and the INR’s Best New Analyst award in 2005.    Mr. Edelman also received special recognition for his contributions to the 2010 National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iraq.
      From 2006-08, he was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO (serving as the State Department’s “diplomat in residence.”)
