Finalizing Sophie’s Birthday Trip
Hey everyone, I’m Mike, she’s Sophie, that’s Brenda, and and he’s Grogu, and we’re On the Road with Mickey! This is episode 122 for May 16, 2022, and today our feature topic is Finalizing Sophie’s Birthday Trip. We’re taking a last look at all of the details that are going into our June trip to celebrate Sophie’s birthday! Grab your favorite beverage, sit back, and relax, and tell us in the comments below what you think! Here’s the rundown of what we talked about:
- Cheddar from the Big Cheese
- Sophie: Coming to the big screen on December 16: “Avatar: The Way of Water”. The movie takes place a decade after the original Avatar film and focuses on the Sully family, Jake, Neytiri, and their kids, and all that they are up against. The latest teaser trailer was just released, you can see it here: Avatar: The Way of Water | Official Teaser Trailer – YouTube. In addition, we are hearing that the original Avatar will be re-released in theaters September 23rd to prepare for the upcoming movie!
- Mike: In other news, we are just a little over two weeks away from the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+, and Disney released a new trailer on May 4th. The link is here in the show notes: Obi-Wan Kenobi | Official Trailer | Disney+ – YouTube What’s exciting to me is that I saw a fan video that indicated that both Ewen McGregor and Hayden Christopher are open and talking about a season two of the show! Fingers crossed!
- Brenda: Over at Epcot, the transformation continues! World Celebration, which is formerly known as Future World, will have a hub divided into several different gardens. Also, it looks like lighting will be embedded into the pavement of the Epcot logo here. Additionally, the CommuniCore name is returning to Epcot! In the 80s and 90s, CommuniCore was a pavilion that changed into Innoventions. Well, Epcot will have CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza. These are just some of the changes that we’ll see at Epcot!
- Brenda: Also, tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party went on sale for resort guests this past Thursday, May 12th. Tickets for non-resort guests go on
