Nik talks about his extensive background in a variety industries in the fields of chemistry and science, and what led him to eventually study agriculture and microbiology full time. He talks about carbon forward nutrition, and the difference between loading the atmosphere with C02 versus loading the root zone with supplemented carbon. This leads to a conversation about carbon and terpene production within cannabis trichomes, with Nik emphasizing that since so much of desirable compounds are made of carbon that we should absolutely be supplementing more carbon into the rhizosphere. Nik talks about the effect of this type of farming on the end product, and discusses the best ways to grow for hash and rosin production.
