Garden Views 18 Mental Health Law
Published 4 years, 1 month ago
Description
Mental Health is a huge topic over recent years. Or at least it's finally being spoken about without stigma. But when mental health issues impact the social contract, there is a conflict between pre-emptive State action and civil rights and individual freedom. Families and health care professionals are often caught in the middle, with no clear or beneficial solutions obviously present. Resources are seemingly small, and smaller in disenfranchised populations. We talk to Dan Mayer, Esquire, who focuses on health law and represents numerous Mental Health Care Practices and Professionals. He also serves on the Board and is General Counsel for the Maryland Pro Bono Counseling Project. Dan educates us on the law and we discuss both law and policy issues.
