Lindsay Chervinsky thinks secession is an "insane" idea. But she also was surprised to find out that Northerners thought secession was a good idea in the 1790s. One problem. She interprets everything in American history through the "s" word, SLAVERY. This clouds her judgement concerning primary documents and makes her a bad historian.
