Power, Leadership and Allegiance (Part 3 of 3)

Season 1 Episode 31 Published 3 years, 11 months ago
Description

Leaders in any type of group or power structure frequently want to increase their own personal Power over time. When we are in that group, they usually demand our Allegiance to them directly and personally at some point, or to their so-called “leadership”.

An ask to support a leader’s thirst for more power frequently means that we get asked to abandon our own Ideals. We should never let that happen.

Here’s our Picture for Allegiance…

We should always have our Allegiance to our very best and highest Ideals, and not to individual leaders in power structures.

We should love people, help people, befriend people, commit to people, be trustworthy and loyal to people…but never pledge allegiance to any person or group who ask us to abandon our best and highest Ideals.
