A delegation of five members of the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, hold a news conference while visiting Ottawa during Russia’s ongoing invasion of their country. Speaking with reporters are Lesia Zaburanna (chair of the delegation), Yevheniya Kravchuk, Anastasia Radina, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, and Maria Ionova. The delegation members call on the Canadian government to supply more heavy weaponry and financial aid, and for additional economic sanctions against Russia. They also comment on their recent meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland.
