In February of 1921, three students on their way to Parma Central school happened across a gruesome sight - two women bludgeoned beyond recognition, lying dead in the icy mud off a dirt road. The students raced to school to inform their teachers of the discovery, only to find the school building was still locked. That's because their teacher and principal - the two women who normally had the one-room schoolhouse opened and warmed up by now - hadn't arrived yet.
