Dr. Strachan traces the development of the American Evangelical identity all the way to our current paradigm, and the obsession many Evangelicals have to get a place at the table. Diagnosing Big Eva’s terminal cancer with theological ninja skills, Dr. Strachan explains how the idol of “cultural capital” has handicapped broad swathes of the Church from contending for righteousness in the public square. While unborn children have become an acceptable sacrifice on the altar of our “cultural influence,” Dr. Strachan reminds Christians how we’re called to use cultural capital, and his answer will open up a can of Jesus you can’t put a lid on!
