"I am indeed a generational farmer. Having been born onto my family farm - I have spent my childhood growing up here, and worked my entire adult life alongside my now 80yo Uncle Ray, and 78yo father Darrell.
Farm life was great fun as a kid - with wide open spaces to explore. Growing up decades before the invention of mobile phones and smart devices, the entertainment was predominantly outdoors - playing sport, riding motorbikes, swimming in the river, and even helping with farm jobs for pocket money. Yes feeding the chooks and collecting eggs, milking the cows were jobs - but fun at the same time.
We probably took it for granted as farm kids, but it taught us a great work ethic, and an understanding of the dedication and long hours of commitment that were required to successfully keep a dairy farm afloat. In my family's case 2021 represents 86 years of operation for the Dennis dairy farm!"
