This week on the #HTFintechSeries of Head Talk I am joined by Sammy Rubin, CEO of Yulife and former CEO of Vitality. This was a very different conversation, where Sammy talks about his entrepreneurial journey and how Yulife, the London-based startup has developed a unique life insurance concept — it incentivises and rewards users to focus on their physical and mental health through a gamified interface. It raised $70 million in what is, to date, one of the largest Series Bs raised by an insurtech startup in Europe. Led by Target Global, the round also included Eurazeo, Latitude and previous backers Creandum, Notion Capital, Anthemis, MMC Ventures, and OurCrowd. Sammy confirmed that the round values YuLife at $346 million (£250 million).
To succinctly conclude: Yulife is bringing the 'Life’ back into life insurance.
