Autograft, allograft, xenograft – it all sounds like a foreign language to me, but to Dr Andrew Cheng, it’s pretty much his second language.

In this episode, we wind it all back to basics with a crash course ‘Grafts for Dummies’ where we talk what a graft is, the fundamental principles and how Dr Andrew uses hard and soft tissue grafts in his day to day practice.

Dr Andrew Cheng

Dr. Andrew Cheng graduated from Griffith University (Gold Coast) with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science, and a Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. In his formal training on the Gold Coast, Andrew was president of his student association and also obtained multiple awards for academic excellence for ranking in the top students of his cohort.

Andrew’s passion lies within implants, All-on-X and surgery (bone and soft tissue grafting) – and the ability to combine this surgery with cosmetic dentistry to fully give people a new lease on life with a spectacular smile.
In 2018, Andrew travelled halfway across the world to Bogota (Colombia), where he completed an intensive week of Live Implant Surgery / Sinus Lifts with MIS Implants. He has also completed a post-graduate diploma in Dental Implants with the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology, as well as a 3-year post-graduate intensive residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics (EODO) through the City of London Dental School under the guidance of world-renown orthodontist Dr. Derek Mahony – and graduated DUX of his class.
