Today the Safari heads to the world famous San Diego Zoo for a conversation with Nicki Boyd, the Associate Curator of Behavioral Husbandry at the zoo, and also a board member of Red Panda Network! This is a sprawling episode that talks about Nicki's journey, how the recent rebranding to San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance has had a major impact on the zoo, the unique role that transparency plays in Nicki's job and leadership style, what it means to be on the board of directors of a charity as well-respected as Red Panda Network, a bunch of talk about red pandas and binturongs, a section with a special guest asking behavioral questions to Nicki, and so much more!  Plus, we end the episode with a discussion of some of the behind the scenes experiences I got to have at the zoo, and a preview of the Wildlife Explorer's Basecamp exhibit that is opening later this week at the zoo!
