Back to EpisodesDr. Allan Sawyer of Samaritan's Purse: Do We Recognize How Desperate and Dangerous Medical Situations can be Outside the U.S.?
Description
By all accounts, the OB/GYN private medical practice of Dr. Allan Sawyer was successful. So what compelled him to leave it all behind in order to be a medical missionary in some of the most desperate and dangerous situations on the planet? In places ravaged by war, tribal conflict, disease, and the desperation of extreme poverty, Allan has been the boots-on-the-ground for Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse relief organization. In so doing, he has faced risks on many different fronts, confronted dangers that many would struggle to understand, and experienced unrivalled joy as he brings the hope of the Gospel to those living in remote, unreached areas.
Today's Kingdom Culture Conversation has several jaw-dropping moments that will prompt you to ask, "Do I understand how desperate and dangerous life can be?"
