What to Do When LETTING IT GO Is Too Difficult
Description
What is the difference between letting go and letting things be? One is a shove. The other is what actually works, and it took me a long time to tell them apart.
People kept telling me there were other pebbles on the beach. I would sit listening to lonely songs until the emotion overwhelmed me. Some things you fully influence, some things partly, and some things not at all. The weather is not yours. A little scepticism is healthy as long as it stays in proportion. If you like a thought, enjoy it. If you do not, let it move on.
One thing to try: Put the thing bothering you into full influence, partial influence, or none. Then act only on the first.
