Episode Details

This week, Garret and Rebecca discuss Nintendo's announcement of the approaching Wii U / 3DS eShop closures. They talk about what it means for game discoverability and preservation as well as how it closes the door to legal purchases and opens the door to emulation. The two also share some Wii U and 3DS memories. Afterward, they chat about Retro Studios teasing Metroid Prime 4 in a unique way, a creator of Super Mario RPG expressing interest in a new game, and more. As always, they answer listener questions, such as whether the addition of Mario Kart DLC makes the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack worthwhile.
