PSU Professor Rachel Shelden presented "The Civil War as a Constitutional Crisis" for CSPAN. She argues that the South believed secession "dissolved the Union" while concurrently making secession illegal in the newly formed CSA. These are her two most egregious errors, among others, but this is the sad state of the historical "profession" in America.
