One year ago my wife and I decided to teach our children Spanish. At the time, they spoke zero Spanish. We succeeded in the project even though:
- They don't go to a Spanish-speaking school
- They don't have any Spanish-speaking friends
- They've not taken any Spanish classes
- They don't have anybody speaking Spanish to them full-time
