Behind the Laughs: The Good, Bad & Funny | Vanessa Fraction & Friends
Description
What's it really like being a comedian? It's not all punchlines, applause, and sold-out shows!
On this episode of Ahead of the Kirb, we're getting Behind the Laughs with an incredible panel of comedians, including the hilarious Vanessa Fraction — actress, former BET writer, Soul Train Awards writer, and actress in Barbershop 2.
We're talking about the good, the bad, and everything funny in between!
From the current state of comedy and the unwritten rules about dating fellow comedians to the ongoing debate over whether Chicago produces the best comedians, this conversation goes in some interesting directions.
Vanessa also takes us back to her journey from preacher's kid to comedian and shares the story behind Make Me Laugh, her classic Atlanta comedy night. We also get into why Atlanta needs more staple comedy shows and what it takes to build a thriving comedy scene.
Expect laughs, honest opinions, industry stories, and a few conversations that comedians might not always have in public.
We also have special guest comedian David Perdue and Marlan Ballard joining us. Follow the crew in this episode.
