Description
A Halloween hair transformation that lasted four months. A fourteenth birthday that absolutely did not go as planned. Red Lobster dreams CRUSHED!
We’re back in eighth grade, where I’m perfecting my bangs, practically living at my best friend’s house, and learning to look okay when life at home feels anything but. This week, I’m talking about losing a friend, emotional abuse, and how desperately wanting to feel loved can turn into accepting whatever attention comes your way.
But first: an overdue catch-up, election-season spiraling, and a few questions about why everyone at Round Top is dressed in prom quilts.
It’s funny in places, heavy in others, and a reminder that the people we love deserve to hear it, without having to earn it.
Content note: Childhood emotional abuse, death of a young friend, grief, and brief references to suicide and disordered eating.
