Are You Even Greek? – Kristina Liotis on South Melbourne, Greece and finding her voice
Description
Are You Even Greek if you don't follow Kristina Liotis' work? Kristina returns for a second round on Ouzo Talk, and there's plenty to catch up on. The creator behind the popular Instagram platform Are You Even Greek? joins Tom and Nick for a drink and a chat about Greek identity, football, politics, culture and the changing face of Greek media. From South Melbourne Hellas' Australia Cup triumph, unpacking the controversy surrounding the booing of the Welcome to Country ceremony at the final, to Greece's improving economic outlook and the progress being made back home, the team leave no Greek stone unturned. We also explore the evolution of Are You Even Greek? from an Instagram page into something much bigger – a growing media platform with an increasingly influential voice in the Greek-Australian community. It's all about where we've come from, where we're heading and what it means to be Greek today.
