Drowning in Robots with David Roth
Description
If you've ever wanted to see a robot and feel like the entire world is one sweaty palm, apparently, you've got to attend the Consumer Electronics Show. At least that's how David Roth put it in a piece for Defector.com a while ago (you'll need to subscribe, but trust me, you should).
It's election day in the USA the day this is being published and aside from everything costing a fortune the other stuff everyone seems to be talking about is all related to everyone's least favorite subject, which is A.I. Or data centers. Or both. I came away from this conversation actually feeling a bit better about those things, which is no accident. David's smart, and funny, and I owe the Defector team a bunch because they helped me pilot Serious Nonsense, which is why this show might sound a little bit like a throwback, or at least a little different.
If you want to learn more about David Roth, you should visit Defector.com, the last good website, and you can learn more about Serious Nonsense at JoyfulAmazing.biz/podcast/ Sign up for the show’s Patreon and you can get a free sentence read by me as well as, at a higher tier, one of the card games I’ve made up myself.
