A $10 million business can still be broke.

It’s an uncomfortable place to be in but that’s where Bob Gauvreau starts in this solo episode of The Wealthy Entrepreneur.

Using the story of a roofing company that reached $10 million in revenue with zero cash, zero profit, and no clear direction, Bob explains why growth by itself is not the goal. If you do not know where the business is supposed to take you, selling more can simply make the wrong problem bigger.

Through this example, he breaks down the planning framework he uses with entrepreneurs to connect long-term ambition to what actually happens this week: start with a 10-year vision, work backward to a 3-year benchmark, turn the next 12 months into a real budget, define the next 30 days, then measure the weekly critical drivers that move the whole thing forward.

Along the way, he shares his own $100 million vision, the story of a client whose distant dream of owning an exotic car became achievable within 12 months, and one of his favourite metaphors: trying to drive from Toronto to Los Angeles without turning on the GPS.

The big idea is simple. Dream big enough to know where you want to go, then get specific enough to know what needs to happen Monday morning.
