Back to EpisodesThe final part of Scientology's takeover of Clearwater, Florida
Description
A building plan can tell the truth even when the PR doesn’t. We’re back with a deep walkthrough of the official City of Clearwater plans for the proposed L. Ron Hubbard Hall, Scientology’s new auditorium and banquet complex planted right in downtown Clearwater. As we click through the drawings level by level, the sheer scale of the operation jumps off the page: a 2,100-seat venue, industrial kitchens, pastry prep, linen and chemical rooms, endless storage, and a logistics pipeline built for big fundraising nights and tightly managed crowd movement.
Then the blueprint gets even more interesting. The design doesn’t just support live events. It reads like a mini media compound, with a TV studio, interview rooms, dedicated recording and voiceover spaces, editing areas, camera control, shading, and tech infrastructure that looks a lot like a broadcast truck built into the building. We talk about what that could signal for Scientology Media Productions, Golden Era history, and why Clearwater keeps becoming the center of gravity for Scientology leadership and money.
We also get into the control layer: VIP and “star” dressing rooms, private access routes, heavy security thinking, and even a personal garage setup that lets leadership come and go without being seen. If you care about Clearwater politics, public space, or the long-term impact of Scientology’s real estate strategy, this walkthrough puts concrete details behind the headlines.
