Picking up from his conversation today on "Fearless," Jason Whitlock further dives into the collapse of American sports. Earlier today on "Fearless," Whitlock argued we're witnessing the worst football season ever, college or pro. He now goes a cut deeper and wonders whether American sports are under biblical judgment. Have they so abandoned their Christian founding that they're plagued by injury, inferior play, and corrupt officiating? Whitlock traces sports to the Young Men's Christian Association roughly 160 years ago, a blessing from God for discipling young men, asking if surrendered control invited corruption and chaos. The 2026-27 NBA season has experienced a severe early-season injury wave, with roughly 15% of the league (79+ players) landing on official injury reports within the first couple of weeks. Injuries have also marred the start of the NFL season.
