Sandra Birchmore’s 2017 Page Made Farwell’s Expert Say THIS

Published 12 hours ago
Description

The first question the prosecution asked Farwell’s mental health expert on cross was stopped by the judge before she could answer. Dr. Melissa Piasecki had spent a day on the stand building the defense’s case that Sandra Birchmore’s history pointed toward suicide. She called Sandra’s 2017 journal a suicide planning document and described a girl at permanent risk. Then the prosecutor named the relationship at the center of her analysis as Matthew Farwell and corrected her: Sandra was fifteen when it started, not sixteen. He asked what Piasecki knew about Sandra’s last day and she couldn’t describe it. Sandra didn’t search for ways to end her life, didn’t search for materials, didn’t send a message. Piasecki agreed to each. Farwell faces mandatory life if convicted.
