Making Life Easier: Small Shifts That Make A Big Difference

Season 7 Episode 44 Published 11 hours ago
Description

There’s a difference between struggling to manage your responsibilities and having too many responsibilities competing for your time and attention. Those are not the same problem.

Before reorganizing everything, I’m trying to ask a more useful question: Am I looking for a better way to do it all when I actually need to do less?

That question doesn’t magically remove the demands of work or family. But it can help me stop treating every item on my plate as equally necessary.

In this episode, I unpack the irony of trying to ease overwhelm by adding productivity systems and self-care routines, only to create more expectations to meet. I share how to question what’s on your plate before reorganizing it, make room for moments that don’t need to be productive, and adapt self-care to the day you’re actually having. You’ll also hear why waiting for an empty inbox or a spotless house before resting can keep you waiting indefinitely and when small habit changes may not be enough.
