Back to EpisodesREACTION: Drew Mehringer OUT as Oregon Offensive Coordinator
Description
On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuckOn3 Oregon Football and recruiting reporter Max Torres reacts to the news of Oregon Football parting ways with offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer after this weekend's 21-10 loss to Illinois.
Dan Lanning made the call that fans had been pleading for for weeks. And now Oregon is in the market for a new offensive coordinator with five games left in the 2026 season. The timing of the move helps the Ducks get a head start on creating their new offensive identity for the 2027 season and will surely help them get pieces in place in both this next recruiting class that will sign in December and the upcoming transfer portal window.
Oregon hasn't lost three games before November since 2018 when Mario Cristobal was head coach and now the Ducks enter unfamiliar territory as they juggle salvaging what's left of the 2026 season and planning for the future of the program.
